The fifth annual Earth Day Rising! is scheduled Sunday at Malama Kauai Community Farm, Wai Koa Plantation, Kalihiwai Ridge.
It will feature live music, food, workshops, hands-on ag projects, keiki activities, clothing swap tent, vendors, and more. The first 20 attendees receive an ulu tree.
Sessions include chicken slaughtering and butchering (“bring your own bird if you like”); making hard cider; cacao and vanilla as sustainable niche crops and coconuts for sustainability.
Keiki 12 and under and kupuna are free. Others are $10 in advance, or $15 at the gate.
The event runs 7:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
