LIHUE — Jeff Mira of Milgard Windows and HPM Building Supply said it’s amazing what a little paint can do.
Using a beach towel from his car as a drop cloth, Mira worked his way around the scuffs on the Milgard Window display at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall Thursday in preparation for the opening of the 23rd annual Contractors Association of Kauai and First Hawaiian Bank Home Show.
“It’s better we do it now than wait until Friday morning,” said Colby Ayonon of Kauai Air Conditioning, who was working with a team to set up an air conditioning exhibit. “When the customers come in at 2:30 in the afternoon, we need to be ready.”
The free show runs from 2:30 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the convention hall.
Thirty-five vendors, including HPM Building Supply and Kauai Air Conditioning, offer the latest technology in the building industry for people looking to remodel, renovate, repair, or build new.
The Home Depot will be offering its popular Keiki Workshop where young people can engage in build-it-and-take-it-home projects while their parents browse through the show. The workshops will be available on Friday and Saturday.
The First Hawaiian Bank cash machine returns to the home show following a 15-year absence.
