Joy Miura Koerte said tickets for this year’s event sold out early, and the event can’t get rid of Marty Amaro who was busy checking in volunteers. How do we get him to do some coffee fancies?
Guy Higa had his crew out in force and Chuck Brady recruited his kids, Sydney and Ben, to help out (we watched them grow up helping at the Gala).
There was not that much time left before the volleyball game, but it was enough to see Larry Feinstein and Jim Guerber (they’re helping with the Kauai World Challenge after getting involved with the Prince Kuhio canoe races), and Russell Wellington getting ready for the crowd.
Of course, the night is not complete without running into Conrad and Susan Nonaka from the CIP, and it’s not a culinary event without Edwin Vea and Troy Lazaro.
