Kudos to Joyce Evens and her media students who came back with a gold medal from the first Student Television Network convention they attended! Of course, congratulations to Kevin Matsunaga, whose students brought home a mess of medals, and hats off to Leah Aiwohi and her Kauai High School students for their medals.
OK, time to figure out the weekend: There is the Culinary Institute of the Pacific Spring Gourmet Gala with Conrad Nonaka at Kauai Community College on Friday; Smiley Punzal will be out at the March of Dimes Walk for Babies Saturday morning at Lydgate Park starting before 8 a.m.; Gary Pacheco and the North Shore Lions have their Pancakes and Hula breakfast at 7 a.m. Sunday at the Hanalei School cafeteria. Anymore?
