The Kauai Historical Society will present nine of the island’s finest musicians on stage for its annual Paina on May 9.
The celebration will be at Smith’s Tropical Garden and includes a buffet dinner and silent auction. It promises to be a beautiful musical night under the stars, organizers said.
“Musicians, Melodies and Memories” will feature Dennis Chun, Albert Genovia, Darryl Gonzales, Pancho Graham, Kirk Smart, Kirby Keogh, Gabby Manintin, John Mahi and Garret Santos.
“Kauai’s talented musicians from all parts of the island will take you on an unforgettable musical journey,” said a press release.
The night will also be a tribute to Mary Requilman, who is retiring after 20 years as the society’s executive director. She was praised for her resourcefulness, creativity and inspiration as she led the society.
