Kudos to Cheryl Shintani and all those hard-working Kiwanis Club of Kauai and the Key Clubs on a great French toast breakfast Sunday!
Pacita Jimenez (wasn’t Eugene working at the Garden Island Orchid Society’s Spring Fantasy?) had Katheryn Bieker (she said you don’t want to see Cardiology) enjoying the meal with her and Naty Bali (isn’t she the one who does flowers at the Lihue United Church of Christ Labor Day breakfast?).
We had Sheri and Bill Bestpitch from Roanoke, Virginia, enjoying breakfast with Vern Paler, and whoa — it’s special because Skipper Caycayon was up playing with Ross Oana, Lyle LaBenz and Kent Tanigawa.
Mahalo to Scott Nonaka (he was at KIF softball Thursday) for the heads-up.
There are still chances to sign up for the MS Walk Saturday at the Kapaa Beach Park. Eden Raquel is looking for walkers, and Ed Kawamura is having his whole ohana walking.
OK, this is the day for the Ishihara Market stop since the softball game is at the Waimea Canyon Park.
