Two Kauai Soccer Association players, Justin Garma and Janae Souza, are among those selected to play in the Hawaii Youth Soccer Association Senior All Star Games Saturday at the Waipio Soccer Stadium on Oahu.
Both players are from Kauai High School and are playing in KSA league games on Saturdays at the North Vidinha fields.
Kevin Devitt, KSA commissioner, said he is pleased to see the Kauai players have an opportunity to play alongside other players from the state in the all star showcase.
Marcelo Balboa will be on hand to help guide the all stars, joined by Nate Shotts, the U.S. Youth Soccer Region IV Girls Olympic Development Program head coach.
Balboa is one of only three United States players to have played a game in three different World Cup finals — 1990, 1994 and 1998.
The boys will kick off at 5:30 p.m., followed by the girls at 7:30 p.m.
HYSA has partnered with Olelo to broadcast the matches live for Kauai residents, who aren’t able to make the games on Oahu, at 5 p.m. on Olelo 53.
The game will be rebroadcast in April and May.
