A vehicle flipped on its side following a traffic accident at the intersection between Nawiliwili Highway and Kaumualii Highway on Tuesday afternoon. Kaiku Jerves, 31, of Anahola said he was driving his Sport Liberty along Kauamualii Highway around 5 p.m.
A vehicle flipped on its side following a traffic accident at the intersection between Nawiliwili Highway and Kaumualii Highway on Tuesday afternoon.
Kaiku Jerves, 31, of Anahola said he was driving his Sport Liberty along Kauamualii Highway around 5 p.m. when the accident happened.
Jerves said he tried to avoid the oncoming driver traveling on Nawiliwili Road, which caused the car to flip and land on its side in an embankment on the grassy median of the highway.
“When the car hit me I knew what I was going to do,” Jerves said, adding there were no injuries. “I spun the car so it would land on its side.”
