Jury trial set in sex assault case

LIHUE — A defendant facing family abuse, violation of privacy, and sexual assault of a minor charges will go to trial Aug. 10.

Cliff Vincent White, 57, of Lihue, was arrested Jan. 5, 2014, and charged with intentional choking, abuse of family or household member, nine counts of first-degree violation of privacy, sexual assault of a minor, and four counts of third-degree sexual assault.

White entered a plea of not guilty on Jan. 6. He is being held on $150,000 bail at Kauai Community Correctional Center.
