No longer this country’s leader
Obama swore to uphold the Constitution, laying his hands on two Bibles used by Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King, Jr.
Obama stated over 20 times that it would be unconstitutional and illegal for him to unilaterally make a major change in our immigration policy. After the American voters soundly rejected his left-wing policies last November, Obama responded by doing just what he had said would be illegal. He decided to grant a kind of virtual amnesty to up to five million illegal immigrants.
This week, a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction to stop Obama’s illegal action.
Apparently, Obama thinks it should be OK to illegally enter the United States. In a similar fashion, he thinks it is OK for him to violate the constitutional limits on his power. Who needs laws anyway? Who needs the Constitution? Well, we need our Constitution. It is a very important foundation for the liberties and justice that we cherish.
Obama broke the law and he got caught. Not only did he break the law, but, by his own testimony, he broke his solemn oath to uphold our Constitution. A solemn oath should mean something.
