KALAHEO — Hans Burkman of Papalina B opened the scorebooks with a bomb from outside the 3-point arc Monday night during the county’s division I boys basketball games at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
Team Lihue B roared back to take a 20-10 win over Papalina B behind 10 points from Syrus Delos Reyes, who got help from Blake Brun and Justin Gummerus with four points each.
Burkman, hustling on both sides of the ball, topped the Papalina B scoring with seven points.
w Team Lihue A team lost 41-18 to Team Central.
Mike Navarro and Kaisen Rapozo had seven and six points, respectively, for Lihue. Team Central rolled to victory with a game-high 18 points by Jim Ehia III. Doza Kaleiohi and Cameron Booth added eight and seven points, respectively.
w Chanson Hawelu topped the Hanakila A scoring with 10 points in its 33-22 win over the Supersonics.
Dwayne Martin finished with seven points and Nahoa Davis added six points in the win.
Mason Broyles finished with a game-high 17 points to lead the Supersonics. Angelito Constantino-Angala Jr. and Kylan Constantino each finished with a pair.
The county’s youth basketball series continues 6 p.m. Thursday.
