MANA — Manu Kai at the Pacific Missile Range Facility at Mana made a difference during the holidays.
“I think we all understand that the spirit of giving becomes more pronounced during the holiday season,” said Haris Zdralic, Manu Kai program manager. “I’m proud to say that the Manu Kai team again stepped up on the Kauai Independent Food Bank food and monetary donation initiative in support of the Kauai community.”
Representatives of Manu Kai presented a check for more than $1,600 and more than 270 pounds of food to Kelvin Moniz, KIFB director, and KIFB Programs Coordinator Leona Perez Tuesday morning at the Manu Kai offices at PMRF.
“This is, sadly, not as much as we pulled together, last year,” said Julie Broyles of the Manu Kai Human Resources. “But hopefully, this sets the bar for this year where we hope to do more.”
Moniz said the contributions will help KIFB with its programs in the community.
