Max Klutke’s Green Bay Packers might not have advanced to the National Football League Super Bowl, but he came to the We Get ‘Em Kauai concert (kudos to Dickie Chang and Rep. Jimmy Tokioka on a great effort!) to celebrate, anyway.
Max carded a hole-in-one Wednesday at the Wailua Golf Course No. 14 (148 yards) using a 6 iron with the feat being witnessed by three tourists (Max called the foursome The Four Lone Horsemen). Kudos to him on the achievement!
Joy Kouchi was at the concert trying to figure out how to use her new phone, and Mark Oyama had his crew doing beef stew (Chelsea and Kassea Yu of Honolulu really liked theirs during New Years!) and other local-style goodies.
Bill Lemke was talking about the great Saturday soccer games, and Dino Pabre had Ipo Yoshioka and Clyde Vito enjoying the festivities with Brian Yamase and Paul Endo of First Hawaiian Bank. Sonia and Eddie Topenio represented the Bank of Hawaii.
OK, time to go check out early soccer (2 p.m.) at Island School (they have no lights).
