LIHUE — Green ice tea by Organo Gold is one of the new facets of the 22nd annual Eat Dessert First scholarship fundraiser scheduled Feb. 6 at the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort.
Proceeds benefit the Zonta Club of Kauai Foundation scholarship program for seniors at all Kauai high schools, and for women re-entering the workforce at Kauai Community College.
There will be music provided by Micah Viluan, ethnic desserts and fruit platters and a silent auction. The grand prize package includes two nights stay at the Waimea Plantation Cottages, two rounds of golf at the Puakea Golf Course, a $25 gift certificate at the Hookipa Cafe at the Puakea Golf Course, and two Outfitters Kauai Waimea Canon Downhill Bike Tour.
First prize drawing, valued at $660, includes a Sterling Silver 21-inch necklace with seven large baroque freshwater pearls by Myrna Lee Chang, donated by Jo Grande.
Tickets are $25 in advance and available from locations islandwide including Salty Wahine in Hanapepe, Deja Vu Surf Outlet in Kapaa, Hairmates on Aikahi Street in Lihue, Island Hardware in the Princeville Shopping Center, Kalaheo Cafe and Coffee, the Kauai Chocolate Co. at the Port Allen Marina, Pictures Plus in the Kukui Grove Center, Robin Savage Gifts & Gourmet in the Ching Young Village in Hanalei, The Wine Shop in Koloa, Vicky’s Fabrics in Kapaa, Inkspot Printing in Lihue, or from any of the Zonta Club of Kauai members.
Tickets are $30 at the door.
