LIHUE – Kauai RSVP, part of the Agency on Elderly Affairs, will sponsor a collection drive for school supplies as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. Supplies will be given to students in need at Kekaha Elementary School.
Collection will start Monday and run to Jan. 19. Items can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Agency on Elderly Affairs/Kauai RSVP office is at the Lihue Civic Center, 4444 Rice St., Ste. 330.
RSVP will only be accepting the following items, as requested by the school: wide-ruled composition tablets, No. 2 pencils, crayons and washable markers.
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service is a way to honor Dr. King’s memory than by serving others.
