HANALEI – Police are now allowing one lane of alternating traffic through Hanalei on Kuhio Highway. The American Red Cross shelter at Hanalei Elementary School remains open at this hour.
The Flash Flood Warning for Kauai is in effect until 9:45 p.m.
Warning signs have been posted on Kuhio Highway at Manoa Stream in Haena to warn of possible flooding conditions. In Lawai, Public Works Roads Division personnel are clearing debris from a downed tree on Kua Road near Lawai Valley Estates.
