The public is invited to a meeting on the proposed improvements to a portion of Puhi Road that will span from Kaumualii Highway to Kaneka Street.
The meeting will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6 at the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School cafeteria. The formal presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will cover an overview of the project, design elements and Complete Streets features.
In addition, the roadway design plans will be displayed to facilitate the discussion.
The upcoming meeting is a follow-up to the meeting held on Sept. 3.
The construction phase of the Puhi Road improvements project is expected to begin next summer. Funding for the project is provided by the Federal Highway Administration and the County of Kauai.
