POIPU — The Marriott’s Waiohai Beach Club has prepared gift boxes for needy families.
Eva Cadavona of the housekeeping department set up holiday gift boxes that were picked up last week by the Angel Tree Ministries and the state’s Department of Health, Developmental Disabilities branch. The boxes included a pillow, blanket, linen, towels and toiletries, a T-shirt and bottled water.
Cadavona said the gift boxes program started 11 years ago when the Poipu resort opened its doors.
“Cathy Veatch was the head of the department and started this,” Cadavona said. “I’ve been doing this every year since then.”
