Lyndon Haviland, from Lyme, Connecticut, recorded the fourth hole-in-one by a lady golfer since The Prince Course’s re-opened three years ago.
Haviland achieved the accomplishment on the third hole when she lofted her Calloway ball with an 8 iron into the cup from 96 yards away.
“When I first hit the shot,” she said. “I thought for sure it was too far. But it hit the bank behind the green and started rolling and rolling back towards the flag. Then, I was shocked and so excited when it actually trickled into the cup!”
It was Lyndon’s first hole in one.
At the Wailua Golf Course, Mamoru Kawasaki, of Osaka, Japan, hit-a-hole in one on the 17th hole.
Kawasaki used a Yamaha 6 iron to hit the ball 173 yards. It was the first time he hit one in 13 years of playing and it was the first time he played the course.
