PUHI — Ring in the holiday season at the annual Kauai Grown and Kauai Made Holiday Celebration today at Kauai Community College.
The weekly Kauai Community Market will expand into an all-day festival and craft fair from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., offering Kauai-made products, demonstrations and entertainment in addition to its usual mix of farm fresh produce, farm-based food products, flowers, plants and Kauai-grown and prepared food items. The event is being billed as a great opportunity to meet Kauai’s crafters, artisans, food producers and farmers and find gifts for friends and family that are made or grown on Kauai.
Fresh ingredients for holiday cooking and samples of holiday treats highlighting local farm products will also be available. There will also be entertainment, demonstrations and food.
Last year, more than 50 participants were at the event.
