Come see KPAC perform Shakespeare: Disco style!
KPAC proudly presents “The Two Gentlemen of Verona,” a comedy by William Shakespeare. Two Gentlemen will play Dec. 12, 13, 19, and 20 at 7 p.m., and Dec. 14 and 21 at 3 p.m., at Kauai High School Room R3, the large music room with the red roof, located behind the main school office.
Two Gentlemen addresses the theme of loyalty among best friends. Will the two gents’ friendship withstand the challenges presented by their romantic feelings? KPAC Director Dennis McGraw has set the play in the 1970s disco era.
Lead roles are played by Lorinda Sasan (Kauai High) and Sera Shimomura (Waimea High). Supporting roles are played by McKenna Pascua (Waimea High), Semisi Osamu (Kauai High), Majael Cantu, Ethan Whatmore, Violet Asuncion, Sara Morimoto and Athena Tangelder (all of Kapaa High). In April, you may have seen many of the 18 cast members shine in “Seussical, The Musical.”
Tickets are $6 for students and $8 for adults. The show is not recommended for children under 14, because of the attention needed to follow the plot. Pat McGrath is assistant to the director; sets constructed by Jarhett Gaines; costumes created by Barbara Green; and hair and makeup by Rocky Pascua. KPAC is grateful the Kauai High School administration is allowing this play to be performed in music room R3.
