LIHUE — King Auto Center will set aside a portion of their new and used auto sales and service department revenue through Dec. 21 to purchase new toys for Kauai Toys for Tots.
“We will not only donate toys, but we will also serve as a toy drop location during a special sale day on Dec. 20,” manager Jose Aguayo said. “As an added bonus, anyone dropping off a toy that day will receive an entry form, one entry per toy donated, to win $500 in dining certificates that the KONG Radio Group will provide.”
Giving kids a memorable Christmas is a primary concern on Kauai, Aguayo said.
“When KONG’s Andy Melamed approached us with this idea, we thought it to be a great partnership,” he said.
Melamed and Aguayo will take the funds and shop for toys on Dec. 22 and present them to Norberto Garcia, who is heading up the Toys For Tots program through the U.S. Marine Corps League.
The winner of the $500 in holiday dining certificates will be announced on KONG.
