Food pantry thankful for support
The St. Catherine Food Pantry is very thankful for all support we have received this year.
We get between 2,000 to 3,000 pounds of food a week from the Hawaii Food Bank, Kauai. Cost-U-Less either makes donations or sells us products at a discount. Our schoolchildren take up a collection of food once a month, and grow vegetables. The Kauai Humane Society has been giving our clients pet food once a month for the past seven months (to keep pets in their homes) and their thrift shop has been giving clothing that is not selling. Ho’ola Lahui has been helping clients with medical, dental and financial assistance.
We serve an average of 400 people a week in Kapaa and could not do it without all the support we receive.
