The Young Women’s Christian Association will host its second annual Women’s Expo Sunday at the Kauai Veterans Center in Lihue,
”It’s an annual event that the YWCA is doing … to showcase and support women businesses in the community,” said the Administrative Assistant for the YWCA, Michelle Brooks. The event will feature a variety of women-owned businesses including fashion designers, photographers, jewelry makers, artists and different health services.
The festivities will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with free admission. There will be multiple activities for young and old, including taiko drummers to kick of the festivities, belly dancers, singing by Preeta Carlson and Joey Charles, book signing, games for children, and vendors who will be selling their products.
There will also be chance drawings for specialty items including a purple coach bag and a Kauai Beach Resort one night stay and breakfast for two.
