After two days of play broken up when the women had to relinquish the course to the college tournament, the two ladies left standing for the final round on Friday, Nov. 7 were Carolyn Russell and Ako Yasuno.
No clear winner emerged until the final hole. Russell was able to place her third shot over the pond just off the green while Yasuno landed in back of the sand for a difficult chip and a double bogy.
Russell triumphed with a par to win the Princeville Women’s Golf President’s Cup. Both women breathed a sigh of relief and commented on each other’s toughness.
The Princeville Ladies Golf group play weekly on Tuesdays and encourage new members of all abilities.
