WAIPIO — Both Island School’s boys and girls teams finished in the top 20 of the Honolulu Marathon Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Central Oahu Regional Park.
The Voyager boys totaled 395 points and finished 19th overall in the boys championships. Kamehameha Schools — Kapalama took first place in the boys championships with 48 points.
Kaeo Kruise, of Kamehameha Schools — Kapalama, finished first overall with a time of 15:38:2. Island School’s Michael Miller finished 37th overall with a time of 17:55:5. Kapaa High’s Micah-Nobriga-Ferris timed in at 18:19:7 and finished 58th overall.
Island School’s Kyle Riddle finished 69th (18:31:8), Kapaa’s Braden Andrews finished 100th (18:56:7) and Kauai’s Andrew Herr finished 112th (19:09:8).
Island School’s girls team earned 16th place in the girls championships with 424 points. Punahou won first place with 45 points.
Kaiser’s Lisa Tashiro finished first overall with a time of 18:59:9. Island School’s Carolyn Price was timed in at 21:09:3 and finished 31st.
Kauai’s Sydney Brady finished 37th (21:21:5) and Island School’s Gianna D’Annibale finished 57th (21:57:7).
