There is still time to donate to the Kauai United Way Walk-A-Thon.
Scott Giarman, executive director for the KUW, said the deadline for turning in packets and contributions is Nov. 7 at the Kauai United Way office, 4374 Kukui Grove Street, Suite 201.
Nearly 400 walkers raised about $20,000 Saturday at the Kukui Grove Center.
“The 45th annual Kauai United Way Walk-A-Thon generated thousands of dollars for the Kauai nonprofits of each walker’s choice, and provided a much-needed boost to the Kauai United Way annual campaign,” Giarman said.
The Boy Scouts topped the fundraising groups, followed by the Kapaa High School Interact Club and Delta Kappa Gamma. The theme and goal this year is 7-in-7 — $700,000 to celebrate Kauai United Way’s seventh decade of serving Kauai.
