Congratulations to Kelvin Moniz, mahalo to Leona Perez for the kokua, and kudos to all the KIFB staff on the new look!
Eileen Winters (she had a flat tire in downtown Kapaa traffic!) is trying to find funds for all the police needed for the Lights on Rice parade, and was nice to see Joy Koerte and Darcie Yukimura enjoying the afternoon.
OK, it’s a full weekend, but if you have time, Tommy Noyes is doing the Make A Difference Day thing at Lydgate Park (get up early!), and Melanie Okamoto of the parks and recreation will be gathering all the seniors for the annual food and craft fair.
Will Sandy Kato-Klutke be entering items for the mochi contest at the Rice Festival (I’m sure Randy Francisco will be there) and Kenny Ishii said Sam Choi is coming down to do a demo (fried rice?).
