Isabel Nester can.
“Isabel has already received her letter from President Obama,” said Sharon Lasker, director of marketing at the Regency at Puakea. “This delighted her, and her family who came from all over the country to celebrate Isabel’s birthday.”
Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Nester celebrated her 100th birthday Thursday with a special gathering in the Regency’s Activities Room where the mayor made a special appearance to sing to the birthday girl, being joined by Kenny Rapozo filling the afternoon with music from his guitar and ukulele.
Following a career in accounting, Nester moved to Kauai to be with family, including daughter-in-law Linda Rozelle who serves as the director of nursing at the Regency at Puakea.
Nester has a son, David, who continues Isabel’s passion for golf, a daughter, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren — with a third on the way.
