Kim Medeiros collected 228 points through six Kauai All Girl Rodeo Association events to earn All Around Cowgirl honors for 2014.
The award was announced during the KAGRA year-end banquet where Kim received her 2014 All Around Champion saddle and buckles for being tops in the 3D barrel racing, 1st D (47.5 points) and goat tying (49 points).
Helping her with the points, Kim finished second as a heeler with 62 points, third in the 1st D of 3D pole bending with 30 points, and third in the steer undecorating with 34.5 points.
Coralyn Murayama collected 171 points and was named the KAGRA Reserve All Around Cowgirl, earning second in steer undecorating (47 points), second in the 2nd D of 3D pole bending (29 points), and third as the header with 45 points, just a point shy of Hallie Cristobal, who collected second-place honors at 45 points despite missing a rodeo because of school.
Another close race emerged in the 3rd D of pole bending where Robin Maglinti earned second-place honors with 29 points, just a point ahead of Pat Hashimoto Ferreira (28 points).
Kira Pimental, who captured the best Fast Time in the breakaway event (3.53), was the recipient of the special Frank Medeiros Memorial Buckle.
