PACIFIC MISSILE RANGE FACILITY — The Pacific Missile Range Facility welcomes all participants islandwide to sign up for Kauai’s first glow run/walk at the Navy base on Oct. 25.
“The Haunted Neon Nights Run/Walk is not your ordinary 3-mile fun run,” said Jerrick Fabro, who is helping organize the event through the Morale, Welfare and Recreation division. “It’s a fun-filled experience for all ages. Experience a Halloween-themed course filled with illuminating lights, motivating music and, of course, neon glow paint.”
“But that’s not all,” added Fabro. “After the run, the party continues at Shenanigans restaurant. Refuel with a post-run meal and enjoy a Children’s Haunted outdoor movie; or dance the night away as DJ Jahboy will be spinning the latest tracks at the outdoor beer garden.”
This event will be held at PMRF Barking Sands and gates will open at 4 p.m. Registration starts at 5 p.m. and the run begins at 6:30 p.m. Registration for the run/walk is $25, which includes a special dinner at Shenanigans and a shirt for early registrants.
The glow run is open to the general public. Children 5 years and younger may participate, however, for safety reasons they must be accompanied by an adult and escorted in a stroller/wagon throughout the course.
