Britnee Akau had a surprise when she came home for the fall break from Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama campus Friday.
Akau, a freshman, met up with Faith Blalock and took in the opening of the Aloha Dance Studio’s haunted house during Freaky Fridays, where a contribution of three canned goods earned a free ticket (Kelvin Moniz and Leona Perez both stopped by to check out the action).
Kelvin said he had to wear two hats on Saturday — one as a Lion for the bike clinic and the other as KIFB for the Holiday Food Drive (the credit unions start theirs Monday).
Janice Bond was taking in the Kupuna Family Bingo benefiting the Hawaii Children’s Theater (Ron Horoshko did guest calling duty, getting last-minute tips from Chuck Lasker). Debra Blachowiak was busy helping check in bingo players (Kelvin dropped in after his Genki Sushi dinner).
And while checking out the Freaky Fridays, don’t forget to look for the Kauai High School air rifle shooter. It’s well worth your while.
