“We want to reach out to everyone, especially the elderly,” said Celia Melchor-Questin, Kauai RSVP director.
Dennis Pezzato, Ph.D. said the magnetic packets are designed to stick to a refrigerator door and contain medical information. Included with the packet are two bright alert orange stickers.
“When a first responder arrives, if he sees the EMT Alert sticker, he knows to look for the second sticker which is in the packet containing the pertinent medical information,” Pezzato said.
People wanting these free EMT Alert magnets can call 241-4479.
