HANAPEPE — Harley Broyles reigned as the Homecoming Queen, escorted by her father, Michael Broyles, Saturday at the Hanapepe Stadium.
As the Waimea football team carried a 7-0 lead heading into the break, Broyles and her court were showcased before the crowd enjoying the first day game of Kauai Interscholastic Federation.
Miss Victory Caitlyn Owen, Miss Menehune Shannin Correa, Miss School Spirit Amber Pabustan, and Miss Football Deannalynn Tafiti were escorted by their fathers as they were heralded by the Waimea High School JrROTC Saber Unit.
Class attendants included Anna Broyles representing the freshmen, Deidrelynn Tafiti the sophomores, Tiffany Ishibashi the juniors, and Ashley Buyat the senior class.
The Saturday presentation capped a week-long schedule of activities made possible through the planning and cooperation of many community businesses, individuals and school staff.
