LIHUE — Kauai High School’s boys bowling team and Kapaa High’s girls team won in week 5 of the Kauai Interscholastic Federation season at Lihue Lanes on Thursday.
The Red Raider boys earned a total score of 2,386. Kapaa got 1,886 and Waimea got 1,878.
Kauai’s Ian Luis was the only person to break 200 in the night with a score of 212 in Game 1.
On the girls’ side, Kapaa’s team edged Kauai with a score of 2,016. The Red Raiders got 2,005 and the Menehune got 1,720.
Warrior Keisha Aki finished strong and rolled the best single-game score among the girls with 190 in Game 3.
The three schools will meet again 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Lihue Lanes.
