More than 800 students in the fourth, sixth, and eighth grades from the Hanalei Elementary School, CKMS, Elsie Wilcox Elementary School, and Kapaa Middle School were treated to a presentation centered around electromagnetism Tuesday.
The middle school students learned from demonstrations on the properties of infrared by being photographed using a special infrared video camera.
Richard Kuga of Envisioneering, coordinator of the General Atomics show, said the event will be on the road Wednesday at Waimea Canyon Middle School and at the Kalaheo Elementary School.
General Atomics Energy Group is geared toward promoting science, technology, engineering and math, called STEM.
