Kudos to Darnell Aquino (how many years as Project Grad?), Penny Vess (she was working the Kwazy Rides booth), Leah Aiwohi, Coach Dino Pabre, Marlene Wong, Carrie Nakaahiki-Young (if you came late, you missed a chance to dunk her) and Laurie Yoshida (she was busy with last-minute luau stuff) on pulling together a great Kauai High School Centennial celebration.
Mahalo to Robert Tamura (class of 1950) on collecting lunch, and chef Rafael Camarillo (he has a class with the Kauai Community College Office of Continuing Education and Training) was waiting on more malasada (it’s his own secret recipe) for the Kauai football team (Justice Camarillo had a fumble recovery, Friday!).
Karin Panui took advantage of the carnival to unveil her latest colors for the Mailelani line, and Annette Hashimoto (she “rented” a chair to Therese Jasper) and Stel Pimental being so close together in the same tent?
Happy centennial, Kauai High School!
