William Curammeng Sr.
William “Bill” L. Curammeng Sr. of Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on August 11, 2014 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 81. Born on February 8, 1933 in Koloa, Kauai. He was a Retired teacher at Wilcox Elementary School.
Preceded in death by his parents, Marcos and Ana Curammeng, sister, Leonora Albayalde, brother, Alfredo Curammeng.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Curammeng, sons, William Curammeng Jr. (Tess), Joseph Curammeng, Duane (Janice) Curammeng, Glenn (Lelyn) Curammeng, Darren (Michelle) Curammeng, daughters, Joycelyn (Jason) Iwata, Janice (Dean) Russell, 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday September 6, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church, Lihue.
Visitation 8 to 9:30 AM, Mass to be celebrated at 10. Burial to follow at Kauai Veteran’s Cemetery, Hanapepe. No flowers requested and Aloha/casual attire suggested.

Landrino Aguinaldo
Landrino Butac Aguinaldo of Kilauea, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on August 20, 2014 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 60. Born on August 3, 1954 in Lanao Bangui Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He was a landscaper.
He is survived by his wife, Lily Aguinaldo; sons, Aaron (Maricel) Aguinaldo, Walter (Ashley) Aguinaldo, Elvis Aguinaldo, Jeff Aguinaldo, grandson Noah. Siblings, Pastor (Naty) Aguinaldo, Ernesto (Belen) Aguinaldo, Wilson (Hermina) Aguinaldo, Weslie (Lilibeth) Aguinaldo, Glorina Aguinaldo, Rosnelie (Casimiro) Rumbaoa, Lucrecia (Jerrold) Sagucio, Nora Montero, Marlene (Danny) Jarquio, Rowena Aguinaldo, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, September 6, 2014 with visitation from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Sylvester’s Catholic Church, Kilauea. Burial to follow at Saint Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at St. Catherine’s Hall.

Virginia Ellis
Virginia “Ginny” Gillin Ellis of Koloa, Kauai passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on August 22, 2014 at the age of 85. She was born in Koloa, Kauai on March 8, 1929.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert T. and Adena W. Gillin; her husband Leon Theodore (Ted) Ellis; brother Elbert T. Niebergall and grandson Nicholas A. Perencin.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Catherine (Paul) Brucker of California and Cynthia Ellis of Koloa and her twin sister Dorothy G. Shaw of Lihue. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Heather, Danielle, Kara, Michael and Matthew, six great grandsons; Brendan, Damon, Logan, Kailer, Kekoa and Maverick. Loving Auntie to Richard (Joan) Shaw and David (June) Shaw. Ginny was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Kauai Women’s Golf Club.
Gifts in her memory may be sent to The Kauai Humane Society or any charity of personal choice. Per her wishes, private family services will be held at a later date.

Helen “Hatsume” Y. Lizama of Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on August 24, 2014 at the age of 96. Born on March 16, 1918 in Kealia, Kauai.
She was a office manager for the County of Kauai Prosecutors office.
Preceded in death by her parents, Kanekichi & Uzume Yamane, husband, John C. Lizama, sister, Tatsuko “Mary” Sato.
She is survived by her daughters, June (Patrick) Layosa, Gail (Keith) Smith, sons, John (June) Lizama, Alan (Tiffani) Lizama, brothers, Noboru (Betsy) Yamane, Susumu (Miyeko) Yamane
9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday September 6, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ Of Later Day Saints, Kapaa Ward. Visitation 9:00 A.M., Service 10:00 A.M. Private Burial at Saint Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Filomena Magdirila Hashitate (aka Fely and Minang) formerly of Honolulu, Lihue and Kekaha passed away at Hale Kupuna in Omao on Saturday August 23, 2014. Born on August 3, 1938 in Honolulu. She was a retired proprietor of Fely’s Barber Shop, Shells of Hawaii, Kauai’s Hidden Treasures and JJ Ohana Gift Shop.
She was preceded in death by parents Domingo and Mary Magdirila, husband Jack Hashitate and sister Dolly Volk. Survived by son Gerald Armitage of Alabama and daughter Gale Sagucio (Bryan Maeda) of Hanapepe, 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 5pm to 9pm Friday September 5, 2014. Services begin at 6 pm at the Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa.
Augustin Pantohan
Augustin “Terry” Pantohan of Hanamaulu passed away at home on August 28, 2014, at the age of 81. He was born in Kahuku, Oahu on August 26, 1933, a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard; he retired from Crash and Rescue, Lihue Airport.
He is survived by one daughter, Robin Pantohan of Hanamaulu; one son, Terrence Pantohan of Kalaheo; 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeannie (Epifanio) Oroc and Flora Relacion; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014, at Holy Cross Catholic Church with viewing from 8:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.

Alejandrino Alegre Allado of Eleele, died on August 22, 2014 at KVMH at the age of 97.
Born on February 07, 1917, in Paoay Philippines, he retired with Olokele Sugar Plantation in 1982 and worked with the Hyatt Regency for 10 years.
Preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Faustina Allado; son, Rudy Allado; brothers, Pompeyo Allado and Vevencio Allado; and sisters, Juanuaria Allado, Ludivina Doncel, Felicitas Galeon, and Josefina Allado.
He is survived by his wife Teodora Allado; daughters, Emerlita (Enrique) Esposo of Lawai, Angelyn Allado-Racca (Warren Racca) of Puhi and Grace Allado of Honolulu; grandchildren, Edel (Delia) Esposo of Eleele, Bobby (Annie) Esposo of Lawai, Josie Esposo of Lawai, Edmund (Vida) of Washington, Breanna Vegas, Devin Vegas and Madison Allado-Racca of Puhi; and great-grandchildren, Siegfrid Esposo, Krisha Esposo, Janine Esposo, Maricela Esposo, Erika Esposo, Angel Esposo, Nick Aldren Esposo and Nichole Megan Esposo.
