Francisca Santos
Francisca Pascual Santos of Koloa, passed away peacefully at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on August 5, 2014 at the age of 102. She was born on March 7, 1912 in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She lived a long, active, happy, and grace-filled life. She treasured her family and received special joy from her grandchildren. She was a member of various organizations including the Filipino Catholic Club, University of Hawaii Extension Club and Koloa Senior Center and also volunteered to help in the Koloa School reading program.
Preceded in death by her husband Ruperto A. Santos, infant son Ruperto Santos, Jr., 2 grandsons Roberto Santos, Jr., Richard Santos, Jr., parents Posedio and Patricia Labuguen Pascual, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.

A celebration of her life will be held on August 18, 2014 at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Koloa with visitation at 9:00 a.m., funeral service at 10:00 a.m. and burial at Kauai Memorial Garden cemetery in Lihue.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary in Koloa.
Miriam Rita
Miriam Gomes Rita died at home at the age of 86 on August 7, 2014 following a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was born in New Mill, Kauai, on December 4, 1927 to Manuel and Bina Gomes.
Preceded in death by her husband Frank Rita, she is survived by her children, Linda (Wayne) Pieratt, Sue Neuvel, and David F. Rita Sr., all of Kalaheo; grandchildren, Wendy Pieratt Castillo, Kristy Pieratt Love, Melissa Neuvel, Kimberly Neuvel (Travis) Johnson, David F. Rita Jr, all of Kalaheo, and Michael (Lauren) Neuvel of Edgewater, Maryland; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Aaron Castillo, Kainoa and Maile Love, and Kaleb and Kyle Neuvel- Johnson; sisters, Flora Duarte of Kalaheo, and Alice Palmeira of Wailua Homesteads, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo on August 18, 2014, with visitation from 9am to 10am, followed by Mass at 10am, and burial at Kauai Veterans’ Cemetery in Hanapepe.

Barbara Sullivan passed away at the age of 63. Born on April 18, 1951.
She is survived by her daughters, Ashley Cameron and Rebecca Cameron.

Consuelo Bueno Dela Cruz
Consuelo Bueno Dela Cruz of Kaumakani, Kauai passed away on August 6, 2014 at the age of 87. Born on April 29, 1927 in Paoay Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She was a social worker for Elderly Affairs and a seamstress.
Preceded in death by her parents, Claudio & Susana Bueno, sister, Cleta Puyaoan, brother, Gregorio Bueno.
She is survived by her husband, Bendedicto “Benny” Dela Cruz, Kaumakani, daughter, Helen (Charito) Matute, California, brother, Narciso ( Purificacion) Bueno, Eleele, Isidro (Helenda) Bueno, Eleele, sister, Adelaida (Alipio) Cristobal , Oahu, grandchildren, Charlene Matute-De Haro & Jennifer Matute, great grandchildren Analy and Isa De Haro. Numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kalaheo. Visitation at 9:00 AM, Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.

Percival Bailey Jr.
Percival Dee Bailey Jr. of Hanamaulu, Kauai, Hawaii, Passed away on August 12, 2014 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 96. Born on June 14, 1918 in Endicott, New York. He was a pilot in The United States Air Corps.
Preceded in death by his parents, Percival and Louella Bailey Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Negrillo Bailey, Hanamaulu; daughters, Jean (Dick) Zimmerman, Texas, Ann Jennings, California; son, Harry Russel (Jean) Bailey, North Carolina. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held. Public Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date

Robby Mateo Makanalani Alcoran, 14 of Kailua Kona, died on August 5, 2014 at his residence.
Born February 8, 2000 in Honolulu, he was a student at Kealakehe Middle School and a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses Kaloko Congregation.
He is survived by his father, Robert Alcoran of Kailua Kona; mother, Charlotte Nowlin of Lebanon, Oregon; brothers, Joel Dalme, Tyson (Michelle) Alcoran all of Kailua Kona, Matthew (Moani) Stapp of Kekaha, Kauai; sisters, Starr (Gregg) Yamada of Keaau, Shyla Farm-Alcoran of Kailua Kona; grandmother, Katherine Alcoran of Keaau; grandfather, John (Linda) Nowlin of Yreka, California; numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
