KAPAIA – Both lanes of Kuhio Highway at the Maalo Road junction in Kapaia are now open to traffic. HAZMAT crew have completed work to neutralize a 300 gallon chemical spill onto the roadway and surrounding area at approximately 8:30 a.m. today.
No injuries were reported and no evacuations were necessary as a result of the spill.
