LIHUE — The lone mayoral candidate to miss Wednesday’s political forum said she had personal family reasons for not being there.
Mayoral candidate Debralynn “Mizdebz” DeSilva Carveiro declined to elaborate on the reasons but said she plans to attend the West Kauai Business and Professional Association forum, which is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday at Waimea Theater.
Wednesday’s forum hosted by the Kauai Filipino Chamber of Commerce marked the first chance candidates could meet voters and share their campaign platform.
