The Honolulu Police Department reported Monday that two male suspects, ages 18 and 26, were arrested on second-degree murder charges.

Witnesses reported to police that individuals were trying to restrain the 30-year-old prior to the incident that resulted in his death. The man was later pronounced dead at a Honolulu hospital.
The Honolulu Star Advertiser reported that the 26-year-old suspect was a Kauai resident and that the death was a stabbing where witnesses claimed the victim was the aggressor. The Honolulu Police Department could not confirm the information or release the name of the arrested suspects over the phone or through email by press time.
