Global warming about wealth
For a plant, CO2 is good for you. Humans too, as CO2 is a function of breathing, a good thing. It will ultimately be understood that the concept of human-caused global warming was a hoax fueled by a wealth transfer scam, a hoax bought into by a rather significant number of otherwise intelligent people. CO2 is a normal part of Earth’s dynamic and not the awful stuff of science fiction.

Airport rent-a-cops need training
In the past, I have read about some very upsetting incidents concerning the airport security personnel. Sunday, I experienced it firsthand.
I waited to pull to the baggage claim area until passengers were exiting with their luggage, to pick up my neighbors who were returning from Maui. They are both in their 70s. One passenger came out immediately with her carry on, and we waited for her husband to exit with their checked bag. After about one minute, I was approached and rudely told to move and go around. I tried to explain that he would be right out, and he immediately pulled out his ticket book and asked if I still wanted to sit and wait. There were several other vehicles also waiting, and he did not bother any of the others.
My complaint is not what he said, but the nasty, condescending and threatening manner in which he acted. If he had nicely asked me to please go around and then pick up my passenger, I would not be writing this letter.
The complaints keep rolling in, yet the County Council and airport administration do nothing to address the matter. Visitors and residents alike should never be treated with this type of threatening disrespect. The time has come for major changes in these untrained, rude, self-important security personnel. Many complaints, but no action! Typical Kauai government – useless! The time has come for major change.

Kauai should save the cats
My cat Daisy Mae is helping me write this letter. Daisy just ran upstairs and jumped on a small table in our bedroom and very quietly waited for me to get up and give her morning brushing to her. The answer is a trap-neuter-return program. Now Daisy is rubbing my foot with her little head which means she wants breakfast. There should be stiff fines for cat abandonment, we should strengthen the county’s cat licensing ordinance, add more funds for the Kauai Humane Society to hire more humane officers. Daisy just climbed to the top of her cat condo for her morning nap. Bolstering current trap, neuter, release and monitor methods is the most equitable way to gradually stem feral cat population growths over time. Daisy is now up for her daily daddy-big girl talk about the dangers of going outside as she could get lost or attacked by large dogs. The state of Delaware has a no-kill policy for dogs and cats. It is working. Daisy is now pawing the back of my chair which means she wants to play, so I will get the sticks on the end of a long metal line so she can chase it. Managed cat colonies that undergo a trap, neuter and release regimen quickly stabilize and gradually decrease the feral cat population over time. Now Daisy is on the windowsill crying because I have to leave and go to the store. Daisy means so much to me and my wife. Please adopt a cat and follow my advice. Save the cats, don’t kill them.
