Storm Orsatelli has lots of experience with animals, having been a 4-H Livestock Club exhibitor for several years. Storm was with Bridget Orsatelli doing the Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital petting zoo coordinated by Joanna Cabbab and Steve Kline.
Bridget has been doing petting zoos all over the place like the Kauai Coffee Open House in December, the Kauai County Farm Bureau Garden Fair at the Kauai Community College, and now, at KVMH. She said she needs a grant so she can create a taller gate so adults won’t have to bump their heads while trying to “wheelie” the residents into the arena.
Steve said Heather Phelps (Healing Horses has its gala coming up July 28 at the Hukilau Lanai) is coming back later in the month, and later in the summer, KVMH will hold its bon dance on the front lawn where a building WAS supposed to have been built.
OK, time to go check out the bon dance at the Kapaa Hongwanji Mission and the Mayor-a-thon on Saturday at the Kapaa Beach Park.
