Motorists are advised to drive with caution during the Kamalu Road culvert project which started Monday and is expected to be completed by the end of August.
Located near the Wailua Homesteads Park, work will be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Intermittent lane closures, as well as full road closures, will require traffic detours in the area.
The scope of work includes removing an existing metal culvert and the installation of two 24-inch high density polyethylene pipes. Guardrails and the construction of concrete retaining walls will also be done during the $250,000 project.
