LIHUE — The First Saturday cruise over the weekend in Kapaa offered a preview of the 10th annual Just for Dads Auto Show which will take place from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Kukui Grove Center.
Touted as “Kauai’s hottest car, truck and bike show,” Kukui Grove Center got a jump on the event by offering a variety of motorcycles from Kauai Harley Davidson during its First Friday event.
But Saturday is the real show, just in time to celebrate dads.
The Just for Dads Auto Show will be held at the Kukui Grove Center parking lot near the American Savings Bank, taking into consideration the ongoing construction of Ross Dress for Less.
“People wanting to participate in the show need to be at Kukui Grove by 9 a.m. to be set up,” Maeda said. “There is no admission for the auto show, but canned goods and donations for the Kauai Independent Food Bank will be greatly appreciated.”
In addition to the vehicles, Maeda said George Nitta, an auto expert from Honolulu, will be on site with Shell gas cards and will be doing his weekly radio show from the Kukui Grove site.
The annual auto extravaganza promises live entertainment, prize giveaways, and more, presented by the Kauai VW Club, Kauai Classic Cars, and the Kukui Grove Center.
