POIPU — Kukuiula Development Company has named Richard Albrecht as president of the 1,000-acre luxury community on the South Shore of Kauai. Albrecht is a developer and management executive with more than 25 years of experience in luxury resort communities.
POIPU — Kukuiula Development Company has named Richard Albrecht as president of the 1,000-acre luxury community on the South Shore of Kauai.
Albrecht is a developer and management executive with more than 25 years of experience in luxury resort communities. He previously served as CEO of Hualalai Resort on the Big Island, and prior to that was director of development of the two Lanai Company resorts — The Four Seasons at Manele Bay, and The Lodge at Koele.
“Richard specializes in large-scale luxury projects and consistently demonstrates his ability to create long-term value by integrating high-quality development with first-class operations,” said Chris Benjamin, President of Alexander & Baldwin, “He is an ideal match for Kukuiula.”
Albrecht said that while he was working and living on Lanai, and later the Big Island, he and spouse Cindy often vacationed with the the kids on Kauai. The children are grown and the couple is excited about relocating to Kauai from Park City, Utah.
Kukuiula Development Company is an affiliate of A&B Properties, and a subsidiary of Alexander & Baldwin. It is one of the state’s largest private landowners. It is also subsidiary of DMB Associates, real estate development and investment firm in Scottsdale, Ariz.
