KAPAA — The sound of music needs a touch up.
A benefit concert to raise money to refurbish a roughly 100-year-old church organ will take place Sunday at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 4-1065 Kuhio Highway in Kapaa.
The Aha Mele concert series will help restore the organ, an Austin Organ Company Chorophone Opus 1351, to its original condition, said David Murray of the All Saints’ church where the organ is played weekly. The goal is to net $150,000. The concert will run from 3 to 4 p.m. and feature Na Hoku award nominee Paul Togioka and the Alii Strings.
A pre-concert champagne reception featuring Ko Bakery products will take place from 2 to 2:45 p.m.
Tickets cost $50 and can be purchased online with a processing fee at www.allsaintskauai.org, or by calling the church office at 822-4267.
