Kudos to Ron Margolis and the Rotary Club of Kapaa on a great day at Smith’s Tropical Paradise!
Marla Hamabata was busy filling pie shells (bite-sized) with lime (close enough to lemon) filling and said her mother would be happy because she’s back in food service.
Scott and Ilona Coffey still remembers when TGI covered their reception at the food court area in Kmart 17 years ago, and Larry Feinstein of the Kauai Beer Company (they start the Finally Friday! event at 3 p.m. Fridays) was nowhere to be found in the crowd.
Chuck Brady had almost his entire family (Sydney and Cheryl) working with Chef Rey Montemayor, Chef Guy Higa, and Kaupena Kinimaka at the Kauai Marriott tent. Steve Davis said he was a “floater” volunteer, and of course, Ron Wiley (someone asked if there was three of him) and Dickie Chang (he has his fundraiser Saturday) were everywhere with the interviews.
People had to be good since Santa Phil was floating around, too.
