Kauai boys Bronson Aiwohi and Kaimana Alquiza-Perreira were among the nine players from Feather River College who were named to the Golden Valley Conference All-Conference team.
Aiwohi, a sophomore from Kapaa, was named First Team All-Conference, joining Golden Eagle teammates Jordan Desquin who was selected as Pitcher of the Year with a 6-2 record and a 2.28 ERA, leading the conference in strikeouts with 74 for the season. Aiwohi was named as an infielder.
Perreira-Alquiza, a sophomore from Waimea, was named to the second team, joining freshman utility Kila Zuttermeister. The two-year community college is in Quincy, Calif.
Other Golden Eagles making the GVC all-conference team include freshman right-handed pitcher Skylar Haynes, sophomore relief pitcher Kody Kuhlman, sophomore catcher Chadwick Kalalekai of Campbell High School on Oahu, freshman infielder Nathan Reynolds, freshman infielder Michael Sanderson, and freshman outfielder Eli Putnam.
With seven named to the first all-conference team, the Golden Eagles finished with the most first team selections in the conference.
Perreira-Alquiza finished the year leading the Golden Eagles in hitting with a .293 hitting average, 41 hits, one home run and 16 RBIs.
Aiwohi finished No. 3 in the batting lineup with a .267 average, 36 hits and 21 RBIs.
